![]() | What's your opinion on insurance through Sprint? I bought a new Treo and wanted to get opinions on adding the insurance option through Sprint? Do you have it? Thanks, Rick |

![]() | I pay it on my Treo 700p but can't offer an opinion as to how difficult it might be to get a replacement if I needed too? I'm listening for those who might have needed to use their insurance??? |

![]() | I would love to hear some feedback on the insurance on the 755p. I just got mine two weeks ago and took the insurance so I'd be covered for the initial 30 days in case I had problems with it or something happened to it before I made my mind up that I wanted to keep it. The insurance cost $7.00 a month and I figured I could drop it at will. So far I have been happy with the 755P (upgraded from a 650 which I also liked). I have just recently had two friends with cell phones stolen and I am a little leary and thinking how much better off if they had taken out insurance. Looking forward to hearing from some of you that have had the insurance and had to use it. Thanks, PghPatti |

![]() | I'm curious to know subtle difference between the extended warranty I purchased from ChumpUSA, vs. insurance from Sprint (which was not offered). According to the salesperson who sold me the 700WX, I can simply replace a defective Treo for 2 years under the extended warranty, but it doesn't cover theft. So somewhere at 1 3\4 years, I plan to complain about my Treo's failure to display secure web pages, perhaps they'll upgrade me to something that does. Does the Sprint insurance cover theft? |

![]() | Sprint's TEP plan will cover loss and theft. I currently have the $4 plan which only covers mechanical failure but may upgrade to the Total Equipment Plan. |

![]() ![]() | I've had Sprint insurance since purchasing my first Treo (650) in 2004 and grimaced silently every month until I needed to use it! Policy covers loss/theft & mechanical. My trouble was phone failure, but I have a friend who had his phone stolen. Sprint replaced both our Treos... Definitely seems worth the cost now. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Not only does the replacement make a huge difference, but repairs are covered as well. If you have the TEP,$7, and you take it to the Sprint store for repairs, they will do it. There are some limitation so that of course. But my friend had his keyboard replaced by Sprint. I think it is worth it, especially since my wife likes to drop here phone in the toilet all the time. *What she thinks, is beyond me!* |

![]() | I also agree that it is worth it. I had a Treo 650 and had 2 buttons stop working. I went to a Sprint franchise store (not a company store) and they replaced it lickity split. About a month later, I dropped the new one and cracked the display. Again, replaced on the spot. I think 2 per year is the limit, and they will drop you after that. Normally you have to pay like $50 or some fee to do the replacement (can someone corroborate this?), but I did not have to at this particular Sprint franchise store. I'm not sure why, but they sure have all my future business. I think my TEP is only $3/mo but I've been paying it since 1999 or so. smp |

![]() | When I got this phone, the rep automatically added the $7 coverage; his thoughts are, they are told to do it because PDAs are so expensive, it's a no-brainer. I agree. |

![]() | Well, I have the TEP and I'm using it for the first time today. My phone must have gotten addicted to crack b/c it's been acting crazy on me. I'll see in about an hour if the $7 a month is worth it... |
