![]() | Buy It I've had Treo Insurance for the last 4 years on my 600, 700wx and now my 755P. You will use it a lot. Not to say Treo's are junk, but they do have their issues now and then. I bought a 700WX 6 months ago and had to have it replaced 2x until I finally sold it and bought my current 755P. My 600 Treos have been replaced about 8 times. Insuance back then was only $5, now its $7, but WELL worth it. Sprint will usually swap out the phone in a day or two if a store tech can't make a qiuck in-store fix. If you own a Treo- Get the insurance- your Treo will break sooner or later. |

![]() | Well, I was under the assumption that my phone was going to be cleared out but it seems like they just cleaned the software up a little bit. Things are moving quicker and my internet seems to be moving along at the speed it should. All told, everything seems fine but it hasn't been 24 hours yet... Personally, I think the $7 is worth it b/c my younger bro has a 650 and my older bro has a 700. They have gone through so many repairs and new phones that spending $7 a month is paltry compared to what they would have spent otherwise. |

![]() | Used the insurance on a Blackberry that froze. Replaced it with a new phone immediately at a Sprint store. I can't live without it on a PDA. Husband kills phones at work and he has had his fixed/replaced also. They don't give you trouble about it in my opinion. |

| A Few Questions.... ![]() | Sprint Insurance I had a 300. It broke after 2 years. Since it was no longer being made, Sprint gave me a 600, no questions. I had a 700p. It broke after only 6 months and Sprint gave me a 755, again, no questions. The insurance is a real deal considering the prices of the Treos. |

![]() | Disclaimer: I do work for sprint, but I'm a tech, so I get paid if people have TEP or not, so I'm not trying to pitch TEP to you. It's a $550 dollar phone. TEP is $84 dollars a year. You might have to pay a $50 dollar deductable if you happen to lose or damage your phone beyond repair. On the other hand, repairs are only going to cost $55 dollars a time, as long as the phone isn't liquid damaged. So if you only have one repair a year, you actually save money by not getting TEP. The big problem comes in if you lose your phone, or it's not repairable. Then you would be stuck with the choice of paying $550 for another treo, (or at least $170 dollars for the least expensive sprint phone) or paying $200 bucks and cancelling your contract, then going somewhere else and paying money for another phone. If you ask me, it's pretty silly not to have TEP on a phone, especially a $550 smartphone. |
