Sync Problem with 755p

Hi All:

I just got a new 755p. I synced with home computer the other night. I am now trying to sync with work computer and it is not working. Everytime I hit the hot sync button I am brought to the hot sync screen and no sync happens. It tried to sync forabout .5 sec I can see the screen flash and then it goes back to the sync screen. Doesn't matter if I hit the button on the cable, or if I hit the button on the screen, same thing. I have not been able to try with my home computer again yet. Any ideas anyone? Thanks.

Never mind, I figured it out. I needed to take the battery out and it reset the device. My 650 never did that. Oh well, all god now.

Thank you squeipo. I just had the same Synch issue but I only connect with one computer. This morning I just got the same response you did when trying to HotSynch. Battery pull fixed it. Thanks again.

I had to check all my software and found that Audible was hanging it up...strange since I got it on my 700p

Hello All. Long time reader first time blogger here. I have recently purchased a Treo 755p for my wife, and I can't seem to download all the pics and video to my laptop. Any pointers?

welcome ellartay we are glad you are here. I dont have the 755 I have a wm 750 so I'm not very up on palm os anymore. Someone who is will see you post and get with you on a fix. It may be a settings problem. You might check in your manual or on palm.com for troubleshooting helps on this issue they have a knowledge base area that s been helpful to me in the past on some things but not as helpful as this site on many others.

Welcome to Treonauts, Ellartay! From what you wrote, I'm assuming you're meaning that you are having difficulty downloading pics from either your Treo or the SD card to your laptop. I have found the easist way to transfer media is to either get a hardware card reader or purchase one of two software apps (Card Reader or Softick Card Export II) which enable the card to be read as a USB device while using a sync cable to the PC. Either way, the pics will transfer quickly. Usually my computer asks me if I want to transfer data, as soon as I use either method. However, it is also easy to just open the DCIM folder and pick the pics you want to transfer.

From the device itself, you can either bluetooth it or use the Hotsync method of transfer (or simply move or copy to your card and do the above instructions). If you have already Hotsynced your computer successfully, chances are your pics are already in your backup folder. I can't recall, since I'm at work, exactly how to search for the backup folder, but it is not too difficult to find.
