Everytime I save the registry change and select ok, then reset the phone, it reverts back to the way it was once it comes back up.

Nice but I think you should use alternatives for missed calls, smses, etc to save a lot more space. Pls check this out.

If you have problems saving the changes, try this instead. Scroll to the bottom of the Registry Editor and tap on OK instead of using the OK button of your Task Manager.

Remove your Battery and restart your Treo after 20 seconds.

That's what I meant by hitting ok. I did that, but it acts as if I didn't change anything after the phone resets. I did the same thing with the date tweak, same result.

Did the entries change after the reset or not. If you made a registry change but nothing changes, go back to the entries and check if its changed or still the same. If it is not changing or refuse to change anything, I suggest that you uninstall/reinstall the Registry Editor or look for an alternative one.

*Note: If using PHM Registry Editor, only use the Pocket PC 2002, 2003 (ARM/PXA) CAB version. Avoid the Desktop installer!

Hi Cyfer, thks for directing me to your earlier post. Installed Treo Alert Pro, but a bit confusing and lack the aesthetical appeal. But it's free... Looks like i gotta spend some money on SPB phone suite.

Meanwhile, I am on another mission:
Is there anyway to make the 'application folder' to show 'list view' or 'small icon' view instead of 'icon view' like in winXP?
Something like this....

Any help from the guru is appreciated.
Thks in advanced.

In this Tweak, we will be adding the SMS shortcut and renaming the Left Soft Key to Message. As usual, a Registry Editor must be installed on your Treo before proceeding.

1) Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Today\Key\112 using any Registry Editor.
2) Tap on the Default string to open it up and change the value data to eg: Message.
3) Tap on the Open string to open it up and change the value data to Messaging.exe.
4) Reset your Phone or remove the battery to finalize the change.
I'm having trouble finding the Default string and the Open string. I get to the path, but there is nothing there to tap.
