| Junior Member  | Magic Button 2.1 good freeware app.. With everything staying open..my phone woul doccasionally slow up and my buttons would go crazy on me (like my windows button instead of giving me my start menu would fire up my calendar...the green phone button would fire up messaging inexplicably..lol). Magic Button takes over the top right 'X", so when you click on it in a program, it closes it fully, so now I always have 13-15 Meg of program memory free and my phone has been running much better consistently one settings tweak was to check off for taskbar.. show clock and 4 icons...otherwise the radio signal indicator or 3G/H icon dowsnt show. can be found at trancreative.com Also want to thank the fine people at Slingmedia and Mring for transferring my 700p licenses to WM6 so I didnt have to pay again! lol |

 | Thanks for the info I wondered why my signal indicator and icon wre not appearing. I will check that out. I dont know if its version 2.1 but they have magic button free at everythingtreo.com |

| I used to use Magic Button when I had WM5 but it didn't play nice with WM6 so I stopped using it. Nice to see they've updated so it does work

| Thanks I have noticed not as stable on wm6 I will check out the post for version2.1 and download is there a free trial? and I assume I need to delete the original or can I overwrite (not delete) w/o problems? |

| Doesn't Spb's Pocket Plus include a feature similar to Magic Button?

I do have alot of the SPB software on my phone (Shell, Pocket Plus, Time, Weather, Phone Suite, Imageer), but I like the Magic Button..quick and easy and does what it is supposed to without issue for me. As for the SPB, I use the Shell as the main program, then I disable the Today Screen plugins of PPlus, Phone Suite, Time, Weather, etc with the Shell interface I am rarely ever at my Today Screen anymore. But I do like the additional fucntionalities those programs give (zip files, tabbed IE browsing, for PPlus, Call Filtering for the Phone Suite, I can use my mp3 as alarms via Time, and the Imageer is a pretty cool photo handler) It's just a good thing I got them at discount! lol | |
