![]() | Multiple Problems with my Treo's A couple of months ago I bought 17 x Treo 750s for my sales staff and myself we had previously had 650's and thought why not upgrade. Almost from the very first day we were innundated with glitches. Here are the list of problems Most of the phones started switching them selves off when ever they felt like it. There is a problem with 10 phones in that they dont answer calls properly either the answer button or the green button cuts the call off There is a delay with all phones when answering a call if you get it to answer at all Many of the phones freeze and have to be reset there is multiple sound issues most of the phones turning themselves to silent ( we have installed all the fixes for this no change. most of the phones show empty battery even when full several of the phones show error recharge has been switched off because the battery is too cold we live in Sydney Australia average temp 20C drop outs on calls is excessive i was talking to a sales staff member the other day while driving across Sydney Australia we had to redial each other 14 times during a 25 minute call all within metropolitan sydney. There are a variety of other freezing and stalling glitches I can hear the techos amongst you saying it must be a common computer issue or something or third party software etc, no none of these phones come in contact with the same server, are all backed up to their owners computer independantly. We have the latest software and backups are conducted frequently. I recon this 750 is the death of palm, I personally will never buy another, some of the staff have already started fighting with their teenagers to get their old 650s back. I have contacted Palm their first answer was must be add ons or third party software ...answer NO......no add on no third party, several of the phones have been into the shop for repairs, swaps and replacements the repaired phones are exactly the same and the replaced phones two of them are worse. Out of a total of 25 actual phones counting the new replacements not one is without several faults. Good on you Palm a cool $16,000 of my money down the drain. BTW I have them all in one big box and I will be delivering them to the store for a full refund. No i dont want them replaced no i dont want them repaired, thousands of hours wasted thousands of contacts lost. Whats the number for NOKIA |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Are these running WM5 or 6? I seriously can't see why there would be so many problems, unless they tried to sync their stuff from Palm OS onto the 750. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Indeed it souns like there may well be the problem. a reset and reinstall following the directions in the user guide for migrating from palm os to wingows mobile might solve many of the issues noted.have been problems with palm os and wm os getting |

![]() | I'm seriously considering requesting a new forum be started........Classic Treos..... We've all seen classics.........a 1965 Mustang, Ray Charles' "Georgia on my Mind", a Gustav Stickley table, the Palm Pilot, etc. I'm convinced the 650 will be in there, and I should probably get a jump on the forum thing, huh? ![]()

![]() | WOW - I think we bantered this back and forth a bit a few months ago, but I have managed enterprise deployments of multiple varieties on all kinds of Treos from the 600 on up to the 750 and have experienced NONE of these problems. The problems I have encountered have been user- or 3rd party software-related and NOT the fault of the hardware. I'm not trying to diminish your issues or frustration, but I haven't experienced anything like what you have. My experience has been just the opposite and that's why I own a Treo and everyone that owns a PDA/smartphone in my family and in my company owns a Treo. All I can say is someone had better make good on this because that's a lot of dough to flush down the can. I feel for you.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I don't think CONWAYBOYS is likely return to see our replies ![]() As they are in Oz it could be due to bugs in that carriers firmware, which might account for why we haven't experienced them.
