this phone sucks soo bad, i almost smashed it for the 90th time today, i cant get it to stay sychronized with my pc, i dont have a smart chip therefore i cant get the wm6 rom leak, annnd,, well it jus sucks, worst investestment ever, shoulda bought an iphone or suttin, neway this is how i feel if anyone has any advice to make me feel better about having a 750 let me know, otherwise imma end up smashing it, i knew having a nice phone wasnt gonna work for me, i already been through 12 razors, ty have a nice day

What do you mean by smart chip

And what synchronization problems are you having?

I thought he ment no sim card and I also thought that the leaked wm6 was gsm only.

Don't smash it....get a cheap miniSD card and try WM6. If it's within 30 days since acquisition, take it back to the AT&T store and swap it for another phone. Having been through numerous PDA/phone devices, I can say the 750 is the best, IMHO. There are more "powerful" devices (although powerful is relative), but none will give you the convenience and compatibility of the Treo 750, although you might consider a Palm OS-powered Treo.

I see your OS says: Other Microsoft...perhaps the sync problem is a computer issue. What specific OS are you running?

I have the same problem sync my Device with my PC, I cannot sync some files like contacts, notes, tasks ect. I have instaled the sync softward several times.
I'd like to know what is the difference between WM5 and WM6

I can tell you that numerous sync issues I had since I got my 750 were cured when I upgraded to WM6. I was syncing to 3 different computers and my Treo didn't like it very well....THAT alone may be worth the upgrade. But, ultimately, it's your device and if you still want to smash it, I would like to see the pieces afterward! (Seriously, I'm just kidding...not trying to encourage you to do anything drastic.)

I agree with you, the Treo 750 is a poor phone, but as a PDA it is fine. The sync problems are common, and universal across WM5 devices (even non-phone PDAs). I just leave mine plugged in, and it eventually connects. What is simply amazing is that the 750 lacks good voice recognition software. Something that every free Motorola phone I have ever had offers.

In my experience as far as synching problems it is a matter of getting the cable in correctly and not using a usb cable connected to a hub without external power. Sometime it has to be jostled. But mine connects within a ferw seconds. Lso if you are using a lot of memory by leaving unused programs open that can be a problem as well.

The windows mobile treos seem to almost always have sync issues.
