HELP!!! 750 contacts and calendar do not start and phone service reads No Service

Hi folks:

Yesterday my treo750 wen't half dead. I updated a contact number and it wa not updated, right after that my contacts and calendar apps stopped working and the phone went into No Service, still I can receive text messages and emails but I cannot make calls and the Signal meter just has an exclamation mark.

I would like to know if anyone has had this happen and also, does anybody know where the contacts database is located in the file system to try to recover? My synch has not been working lately because my outlook crashed, so I would like to at least try to recover the data if it still exists in the 750.

I went to Cingular yesterday and all they said was to call a warranty 800 number and get a replacement...

My experience with the 750 has been very negative, it is unstable, slow and unreliable...I am considering going blackberry

Have you tried a soft reset?

Do you have any third party software installed?

Yes, I have many times over the past 24 hours...it seems to get worse each time, sometimes it even starts playing alarms and other sounds as well as hang up on the inital windows mobile blue screen. At one oint it even got stuck with the vibrate for no aparent reason. The most strange thing is that it has never crahsed like that before and it has never falle to the ground or had any major shock impact wiht the ground or otherwise, mi 650 died in fall...

The only thing can you really do is a hard reset, but of course that will wipe any data

You never really said whether you had third party software. I have never seen or heard of a contacts failure cause the phone to go to no service that is just wierd. Maybe coincidential but certainly strange. I would get a new one if its still under warranty.
