Unable to Delete SMS - Treo Forum

Hey,

Has anyone ever had the problem with their Treo 750 where there is a "ghost" SMS thread in their Sent Items? How do I delete it? I've tried purging all messages but that message thread is still there and won't go away (there are no messages in that thread). I've done soft reset also but it still doesn't help.

I've seen a post somewhere about this same problem for the Treo 650... a corrupt SMS database. But, how do I delete / fix this on the Treo 750, since it is running on Windows Mobile?

Honestly, I don't want to ask for email support from Palm because all they're going to tell me is to do a hard reset. That's about all they've advised me ever since

So if there is any other solution other than doing a hard reset, that would be much appreciated

The messages are held in a file called PalmMsgV001 in the Windows directory, make sure the Messenger app isn't running then use File Explorer to rename that file. Go back into Messenger and it should be cleared. Obviously this will remove any other SMS messages too.
