Palm Treo 750 GPS Tom Tom Offer

Since getting my treo 750, I was swayed by the offer of tom tom 6 with the bluetooth setup. I have since sent off all the details, which was a pain as I had to cut a square out of the box

Does anyone know who long it took for the kit to arrive from Ireland, its getting bad that I anticipate the post arriving on a daily basis. Not sure if I can survive the 30 days its suggests is the longest time.

Any comments, would help my sanity

Comments?.hmmmm..... Don't eat chocolate while waiting. This could lead to weight gain. Also, don't bug your postman to much, he may "delay" your package a day or two.

Nah, serioulsy though. I am like you. I want it now, tomorrow is too late!

Chocoholic on the forum!!!

comiken205, thanks for the thoughts, was wondering why my house has more chocolate than normal

Heres hoping things move faster in Ireland to send this through. I take it as you are from the US, you might even get yours quicker, as Palm would probably consider this market more important than little Bligthy

Never mind, fingers crossed, and will post as soon as its here, with feedback on how useful it has been, and more importantly was it worth the wait and weight gain

Its arrived

Talk about timing, just got back from a trip to sunny Yorkshire, and the DHL van stops at my flat and gives me a small box, as soon as I saw the words Palm GPS on it. I ran upstairs and set about making my treo 750 even more perfect.

I now have sat nav through my treo, and have since been on a test run, and it all works great. No issues at all.

Taz has yours arrived yet??

Er I've been using it for well over a year

Started with v5.0 on the 650 and then upgraded to v6.0 after getting the 750v. Sadly I missed the offer Palm are currently running

I forgot to review the thread it was comiken205, who was waiting for his as well.

I did not realise the US has access to the offer as well.

Plus have so far not managed to the the desktop software to backup my TomTom stuff. Any thoughts?

Weird mine shows up as a Treo 750v, maybe it's because it's a Vodafone branded model

Cheetah was HTC's internal name for it.

What happens when you ask it to backup?

If you've got a card reader than just use that to copy the entire card to your PC's hard disk

Thanks for the intel, my Pc has a card reader, but it has a habit of being a little 'im not going to work today unless you ask nicely'

So HTC make the Treo

Blimey you did very well to get yours so soon, Tomtom is brilliant on the treo, just need to sort out how to keep the wires tidy, and also if only there was a way to charge the Bluetooth GPS receiver without having to use the car charger every time

Welcome to the club
