Email downloads then disappears - how can I stop this?

Having just moved from a 650 to the 750v I'm finding the change from Palm to Windows a little confusing.

Previously my 650 was set up to download email every 15 minutes which it did as long as the email hadn't already downloaded to my PC, which I was very happy with. Once it did download to my PC it would leave the copy on my 650, again this is what I needed to happen.

With the 750 again I've set it up to download every 15 minutes, which works as long as the email hasn't already downloaded to PC. The problem occurs when, after arriving on the 750 it then downloads to the PC and is automatically deleted from the Treo next time it downloads email. This is a pain as I need to keep copies of any mail that gets to the Treo on the Treo. The only way I've found to combat this is to set up an additional folder and manually move email as soon as it arrives to that folder, it then appears to be safe. This however is obviously a pain and if I'm busy I can't always do this.

Is anyone aware of either a way to overcome the automatic deletion, or to set up a rule to automatically move mail to a new folder on arrival?

As the main use of my Treo is for email, and I'm on the road a lot this seems to be a real pain.

Dan

Sadly Pocket Outlook doesn't give you much in the way of customisation, if your mail server supports IMAP you could try using that instead of POP3.

Thumbs up

TazUK

Thanks for the reply, I've downloaded the trial version of FlexMail 2007 and it seems superb so far. A bit tricky to set up (probably just me) but I now have rules just like Outlook to sort my mail into folders and keep mail on the Treo if I want. As a bonus, as well as a host of other features it allows you to send mail immediately instead of pressing send then having to send items out of the Outbox. Also allows you to choose FlexMail as default SMS program, in the same format.

Probably the best add on I'll get for the Treo, thanks again.
