TREO 750 bluetooth connection with WIN XP PC

Hi, I have a Treo and everything works fine. However I still was not able to use the bluetooth connection between the Treo and my Windows XP Laptop computer in order to Sync and in order to link the Laptop to the web by using the Treo as a modem (unfortunately willing to do this was actually the reason why I bought the Treo). Someone told me I should look at the CD which comes with the Treo and see if ther is a driver or anything. Anotherone told me to install something called BT tools which I did but it did not work. The bluetooth connection can be established between the two devices but on the TREO I cant chose f.i. bluetooth to sync and the modem link does also not work. pls help
