Battery Life on Cingular Treo750 - bad - Treo Forum

I am testing a Cingular t750 WM and using the umts network, push mail and some internet I am having major iisue with the abttery life....the battery lasts about 6-7 hours of normal use. I am testing it vs my trusty T650p and the battery life is very bad compared to the 650.

Also, there are so many car BT kits thet the t750 is not comaptible with...including BMW- which I happen to own one and had my t650 paired nicely to, any idea why?

Remember that the battery capacity is different between the two devices. This is the first I have heard about serious battery issues with the 750. Anyone else weigh in on this?

As far as why they aren't compatable with many of the BT kits...I have no idea....sorry.

I just turned the push email off to see if that makes my battery last longer. Go ahead and get a spare battery too. $35 for a 1300 mAh battery at http://www.seidioonline.com/ at least it's a little bit bigger.

The battery is smaller than the 650's so it will never last as long, 1200mAh vs's 1800mAh. It's the down side to the new slimmer form factor.

I read online that Seidio is releasing a 2400mah battery at the end of January. I am curios to see if that will solve it...

I had the same problem with my phone, 6-7 hours till full dead. It had no problems until I installed Xpress Mail. It turns out that program had some sort of a bug that was causing the radio to CONSTANTLY transmit to the udpa network (even though it was only supposed to check mail once per hour). I uninstalled xpressmail but that made no difference. I had to do a hard reset to get the problem fixed. I didn't reinstall xpress mail, I now get 2 to 3 days battery with no problems.
