Annoying "incoming E-mail Password" pop-ups - Treo Forum

Hi All:

I recently tinkered with my Outlook settings and somehow created an annoying bug: every 10 minutes or so (which is how often I have it set to check for messages), the "Incoming E-mail Password" page pops up. The password is saved (pre-filled as asterisks), but the "save password" box is always unchecked, despite the fact that I check it and save every time this pops up. The same pop up returns in 10 minutes whether I save the password, hit cancel, or just close the window.

If someone has a helpful hint here, I would be greatly indebted,

The IT folks at work resolved this for me. It had something to do with multiple passwords being saved in the system. I wish I could explain better, but in the meantime, please ignore this thread.

Glad you got it worked out. I was actually thinking before I read your solution that perhaps you had somehow set different passwords for the incoming vs outgoing servers

It hurts but at least they'll be getting used.
