Thanks once again. When using the registry editor, which folder should I be looking in?
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT
HKEY_CURRENT_USER
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
OR
HKEY_US

I can't seem to find anything that looks like the key you referred to and I do not know where to put it.

How far down the tree do you get before you can't see a matching item?

Most people are registry noobs. It's not something most want to fiddle with.

Just checking in to see if you got your camera software install ok?

Not yet. Everything appears to be there except the icon in the pictures and videos menu where it's supposed to start from. All that is there are the 2 demo pic....flower and waterfall. The icon appears in programs now thanks to TazUK, but that only sends you to the pictures and videos screen with no icon present.....The registry did have that correct string btw.

Thank you for all your help, please keep the ideas coming....
