![]() | Convince me to keep my Treo 700wx I'm having a difficult time deciding whether or not I should keep my Treo or get a BlackBerry Curve. I love what the Treo has to offer. I have had no problems with it, but I was always interested in a BlackBerry. However, I don't want to go to a BlackBerry if the Treo is the better unit. Can someone convince me that the Treo is better than the BlackBerry so I don't waste my time changing please? |

![]() ![]() | bb doesn't have a touch screen, treos do. end of discussion. i played with a blackberry last night for the first time and other than the email (which you can also do on any treo) i was totally unimpressed. |

![]() ![]() | AMEN. bb plans cost more per month. If you already love your treo, don't feel guilty about it. more 3rd party software. |

![]() | Remember, too, BB has suffered a number of outages lately. If you rely on your email a lot, this is a potential problem. Much of it has to do with the fact that BB's use a 3rd party server to route email. Treos get mail directly from your email provider or businesses mail server.

![]() | I was looking through here and I second the repliers. I just ordered (found) a new Treo 700wx (Sprint) on eBay and will dump the Centro for it. I miss my larger keyboard and WM will work well with my work set up. Also had a BB Pearl but it kept running out of memory and quite frankly, didn't sync well with Gmail.

![]() ![]() | impaler, man it is great to see you again. 700wx huh, that's cool, but, what made you go that route? Again, nice to have you back. |

Just waiting for it to ship.I had a 700wx a long time ago--and it was a really fantastic phone. Think I traded it for a 755p, which I was not very satisfied with. I liked much about the Centro, but the sync was problematic with Outlook 2007/XP SP 3 at work, and I figured ActiveSync SHOULD work better. Also like the Pocket Outlook calendar better than Palm's. Palm OS really does have a bunch of nice stuff, but the 800w is way too expensive to me, and now that a new model is out, the price on the 700wx dropped a bunch. Figured now was a good time, while I can still find a new one.

![]() ![]() ![]() | impaler!!! dude, nice to see you. Yeah, the Centro is a good phone as long as you keep it off of Hotsync. I have had problems with my daughters. But good ole' NVBackup saves the day. The problem is getting the apps to upload to the Centro without the Hotsync. Yes, Filez will move it to the device from the SD card. So I guess that will be the way to go from now on. |
