Pocket Outlook emails disappearing - Treo Forum

Hi Gang,
I have a new 700wx and have a problem with my emails disappearing from my inbox. I have my gmail accounts setup on my 700wx and anytime I have incoming messages, it deletes all of the previous messages from my inbox. Very annoying and unacceptable. I'm with Verizon and currently have the account setup with IMAP on Gmail- not PoP.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and your fix.

And you're 100% sure it's configured to use IMAP and not POP3?

Oh yes. IMAP configured in gmail and on my device.

Check your settings on the Treo, it may be set to clear off messages that are older than 3 days (I know mine does that). Or are you saying it's completely deleting messages from the server as well?

Lotus-
I have multiple Gmail accounts, and what I have noticed is that on the "discrepent" PoP account, I have a "Filter" checked in the Delivery Preferences: "Only display messages from the last 1 day(s). So when I Send/Receive and new messages come in, the get erased. This account is setup as PoP.

On my second email account, I do not have this checked and so far the messages are NOT disappearing - SO FAR. This second account is also EXCLUSIVELY setup as IMAP on the server and my Treo.

I am still testing, but it looks like the Filter setting could be the problem.

What is everyone using for an email client? This 700wx Treo is new to me- I just migrated over from the Palm OS last month and used Versamail. I would not mind paying a little bit more for a more robust email client.

I have no problems with Pocket Outlook on my 750. On my Treo by default email is cleared off after 3 days, but not deleted from the server, just removed from the device to save space. I use 2 yahoo IMAP accounts and my work Exchange server.

I think my problem was with the filter. I have turned it off. I seen it there, but did not think it was a problem. I know a few people who had this problem and have actually gotten rid of their phones because of this. They were just too frustrated and did not know where to turn

Getting rid of such an expensive device for such a minor problem seems way over the top, though I know of people who complain over less.

Person I work with:"The coating on my keyboard's keys is worn off and it's really slowing me down, I need a new one that's exactly the same as the old one"
Me: "HP discontinued that keyboard, and we don't have any new ones"

she ended up trying one that she told me she had tryed that another person I work with uses, after 15 minutes she told me she wanted a less worn out version of the one she had before... and she wonders why I wouldn't order a $300 wireless headset for her
