youtube videos + Treo 700wx - Treo Forum

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone else is having problems viewing youtube video's on their Treo 700wx? Everytime I go to youtube to check out a video, Media Player comes up to play the vid...and then BAM error message and it won't play.

Anyone else have this problem or a fix for this?

I can't get it either. Not sure, but it seems for some reason 700wxs have this happening.

Well I fixed it...sort of. I bought the CorePlayer software and installed it last night. Sure enough now youtube videos work fine. Hmmm..they should...being that youtube seems to be the owner of the software.

Either way, it's working with the Coreplayer Software.

Youtube won't work with any Treo without 3rd party software. There is no Palm or WM version of Flash 9, which is required for Youtube videos.

Edit, apparently there is a way, but technically you still need a 3rd party plug-in, see this page , from TreoCentral.
