touchscreen disable message - Treo Forum

OK I have a 700wx and when ever I make a call the message (touchscreen disable) up on the screen now the problem is that the message is coving up other info that I need so is there a way to keep the screen disable but get rid of the message box

I do not have an answer to your question. I wanted to stop in and welcome you to the forum....especially after I saw your avatar.

Prowl583, welcome to Treonauts. We’re glad to have you here. I do not know how to “hide” the touchscreen disabled message. However, on my 700wx, the only thing that is down there is the mute button. Here are some possible workarounds some of which you probably already know. So, if you have anything down on the bottom of the screen, move it up by going to settings>today>items, and highlight what you want to move up or down.
My order from top to bottom is: Date: Calendar: Messages: Search: Tasks. So the mute button is the only thing covered up by the message.
If you are in a call, and want to access something in the today screen, hold down the 5-way navigation button briefly(in the south position), and your today screen will show up again hiding only the mute button. You can access the mute button with the RH soft key.
Third possibility, is while in a call, push and hold the OK button. This will allow you access to running programs such as internet, etc. Once you are in the “running Programs” screen, you may again use the buttons or stylus to activate what you want. This will not effect the call.
Not sure exactly what you were trying to access that was hidden by the disable message, but, I hope maybe these possibilities may at least pave the way for you, if you didn’t know them already.
