 | phone not turning on I recently purchased a 700w/x with windows mobile on it, i updated the software to version _1.22 now the phone wont turn on to make calls the organizer part works but no the phone. i have tried soft resets and hard resets, a new battery and full charge, plugged into power nothing seems to work anyone have any tricks i would really appreciate it, as i am with out a phone right now. |

| Reinstall the update if that does not work take it to get it fixed.

   | Have you tried a soft reset? If that doesn't work do a hard reset. I assume that you backed up your phone before the update. If that doesn't work, you may have to take it to a Verizon Service Center. |

| brandon, Question. Will the factory reset revert the ROM? On the Palm OS it doesn't. I had the same issue on my 700P and performed a hard reset and that cleared up the issue but the update remained. |

| sorry! i was thinking of the zero reset, and now that you bring it up, lou, i don't think it affects the rom at all. i believe you're right, post edited to reflect.

| i hear you guys talkin about Hard/Soft/Zero Out Resets...and how the Phone Radio will not turn on...i think its a problem with the update...I have a Sprint Treo 700wx...have the same problem...and it happened after it was updated to version 1.14...it still doesnt show it was even updated...but the phone doesnt work... I think it needs to be completely reflashed...the resets wont work...Ive tried them...the unfortunate thing is neither Sprint nor Palm are willing to give me a copy of the original rom to flash onto the thing... WT |

| If the phone doesn't show it was updated to the new ROM, try performing the new ROM update again.
