Contact phone number when different area code - Treo Forum

Anyone know how I can enter a contact's phone number that will include the "1" for long distance dialing when I voice dial or speed dial that will still allow the 700wx to recognize the caller when they phone me?

I would think that including it when you enter the contact would allow that, are you saying it doesn't?

most cellular carriers allow you to drop the leading 1 on outgoing calls.
If you store the number as xxx-xxx-xxxx will the call still go thru or not?

Thanks everybody. As it turns out, although I have to enter the "1" in the contact to dial out, it does recognized the caller when they call. I apologize for using your time. I had a recollection from my previous 700wx that it didn't recognize, but this one does. Thanks again.
