![]() | Goodbye Yellow Brick Road... and my 700wx Well, after about 10 months and three - yes 3 - different handsets, VZW decided that my constant complaints about bluetooth connections, dropped calls, no EVDO connections, ActivSync troubles, emails disappearing, appointments changing dates or even year..., after all these issues, they took (yes took) my phone and handed me a xv6800. The biggest problem I've seen with the 700wx was WM5 and the lack of a tower pointing my way. But, VZW decided that it was Palms issue... I didn't even get to HotSync my Treo one last time. Oh, well. As it stands, at least everything that I hated now works. On the downside, the HTC's don't let you use MP3's for ringtones, and I had to dig thru the forums for Windows Live (to get my Hotmail to work) on my phone. Also, the battery life sucks... I miss my 2400mwh battery I got here. On the plus side, it has WiFi and stays powered off in my pocket. So, I'll be using this for the next two years, but I'll keep tabs on here and pray they design a Treo that has some of the xv6800 (covered qwerty and bigger screen) and best of all with WiFi and WM6!! PS - If you need a car charger, synch cable and a regular battery, I've got two spare sets now. Drop me a line and I'll cut you a good deal. Jeff

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Good luck with the new device NavyStore. While I don't foresee a covered keyboard on a new Treo, wifi is expected on the next WM model, and WM6 is now available on current WM treos which really fix a lot of the issues on WM based Treos. |

![]() | I heard about them shutting off folks that would call and complain every week or so. Fortunately, since I'm a Verizon employee (outside technician on the landline side here in the Seattle area), and that I've had poor signal (zero or one bars) strength at home for 4 years and 4 different handsets, I think they were willing to do more to keep me on. I found out this morning that VZW is adding a sector (antenna) that points my way!! YEAH!! Should be working by March 18th. So, if you try to hold their feet to the fire, they will eventually move their butts.
