Announcement of Calls - Treo Forum

Maybe I am dreaming, but is there a way to set the 700W to "announce" the caller? Seems like I was able to get the phone to do that, but for the life I cannot remember how it is done.

Exactly! Probably better than having it sing "Rubber Ducky" while I am in Court. But the Judge likes "Rubber Ducky" better than "Rockstar" by Nickelback.

[Most judges I go in front of dont like any announcement or ringtones. I turn my 750 to vibrate only before i get into the courtroom (unless I forget)

There is a way to do it, but I cannot find it.

Go to settings>voice command. Check off items you wish to have broadcasted to the courtroom. Some of the pronunciations are a hoot. This just gave me an idea....PS to say the name, it must be in the contacts.

I some how missed this when it was answered. I turned it off, because it was annoying to me.

The moral of this story is;
Be careful how you name your contacts.....
Ask me how I found out this little wise rule.
It went something like "brrring bbbrrrinng, sweetie calling"
Unfortunately ,it was during my Anatomy and Treology 102 class the day Ms. Dolores Umbridge was subbing for the dear Dr. and also the same day I got playing cubis in class.
