Outlook / Treo 700wx question - Treo Forum

I have a Treo 700wx. I have modified the registery to where it will allow you to accept any security certificate. (for our exchange server)
I have our Outlook and Treo configured through ActiveSync, works great.
My only problem is when writing an email, when adding whom I want to write emails to, it defaults first to the directory on the phone instead of the Outlook contacts.

I have to go to menu, and click on "Find Online" for it to search company dir.

How can I make the Find Online the default?

I've checked settings- everything, I think this is going to be a registery hack or change.

Do you not sync your contacts to you Treo?

It does, but it syncs the contacts that I have added to my Outlook. Not the ones that are in the Global Adress List.

My outlook contacts are the contacts that are synched on my phone, and l think that's the only contacts you're gonna get from synching. Somebody please correct me if they know differently .

That is correct. BUT i'm sure there is a way when you click to find online(global adress list) you can make that the default search parameter.

unless its something the carrier built into the ROM then its a rom hack
