![]() | 700W sporadic email problems I have had my treo for several months, using verizon wireless for my internet. I've searched the threads for help but don't see anything on point to my situation: I have two email accounts set up on my treo, with settings identical to my outlook desktop. One is a server hosted by godaddy, and the other is an aol account. I sometimes am able to receive new messages, but have never been able to send a message through my godaddy account on my treo. I don't get an error message of any kind, but the message is just not received by the recipient. I now have a new problem. now when I hit send/receive from either account, I get the following message: "messages can not be downloaded to your mobile device. make sure you are connected to the internet and that your email account settings are correct." I'm sure that I'm connected because I can use the explorer option. I also sometimes get the following: "the message(s) could not be complete. Check that you have network coverage and that your account information is correct, then try sending again". Once I get these messages, they will not go away and I can't even access the email unless I do a soft reset. Once I reset, it will often download new messages automatically if I do nothing else. incidentally, it appears that my wireless signal becomes weaker when I'm checking emails than when I'm making phone calls - is this normal?? The main reason I have the Treo is for email access. Can somebody please help me diagnose this problem?? |

Not sure about your receiving problems, have you spoken to Verizon about it?

![]() | godaddy provided outgoing server information specifically for the treo (smtpout.secureserver.net) which is the same as the regular outlook setting, and I checked the box that says that my outgoing server requires authentication, but it doesn't seem to work. are you saying I should use verizon's outgoing server? I haven't checked with verizon re: the incoming problem, but that's my next step. I assumed it's a treo issue. |
