Sprint GPS - cost?, receiver, software...700wx - Treo Forum

First things first - if I have the software and a GPS receiver attached to my Treo 700wx does Sprint charge me anything or does it use my minutes?

2nd, anyone reccomend a good bluetooth GPS rec.?

3rd, I had (have) a windows based Dell Axim x51v....ditched it for a phone......can I use the same Dell Navteq software and just load it onto my Treo?

I am having the same issue as stirlin. I own an Axim x51v with the bluetooth GPS. I loaded the same software on my 700wx but it does not seem very compatible. Anyone have a good suggestion? Is the bluetooth receiver compatible with any other software?

If your referring to Sprint Navigation then it doesn't use a GPS reciever but triangulates your position using the cellular towers. The map information is held on Sprint's servers so you would need a data plan.
