Has anyone out there had success in running the Google Talk client in real time on their Treo?

If you have and it's worked for you.. Let me in on the secret of the install.

the only way i have been able to get it to run was through that java emulator but it's not real time and it's cumbersome to use.
i'm just waiting for them to release a windows mobile version
i'd imagine it's not too far off.
