Bluetooth Headset Issues - Treo WX,H505

Hi,

I just recently purchased the TreoWX with Motorolla H505 bluetooth headset. One problem though, I pared the headset and it works for about a day then quits. I have had to delete the headset everyday and re add it only to find out that sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. I had to turn the phone off after that and then restart it to actually get it to find the headset. I have gotten a hardware error for the bluetooth a few times.

I have a new Verizon WS and am having problems with bluetooth. I have a hs850 AND A h700 MOTROLA and both do not work well. The Hs850 keeps disconnecting It will connect then disconnect. The H700 has all kinds of static. The other person hears every other work.
Very Dissapointed.

Any suggestions??

Just picked up a 700Wx & H505 last week and have the same problem. It drops the headset couple of times a day and I must perform soft reboot to get the H505 to pair up.

I was reading some post in the 700 forum at Phonescoop.com and see that many others are having same problem however, a there was a post from two people using a Jabra 135 successfully.

One of guys in my office building has 700Wx which won't sync with blue tooth in his Benz either. I m begining to wonder if the problem is in Microsoft operating system rather than the Blue Tooth devices.

once your headset is paired, the treo drops it. I was talking with a tech a while back and he told me to do the following. if your headset doesn't want to re-sync with the phone then plug in the headset to its charger for 5 seconds. this "resets" headset. I do this and have no problems pairing with my headset on my 700P. when disconnecting, turn off haedset first then the bluetooth on phone and vice vers whaen turning back on.

I too just recsently purchased a Verison Treo 700w x. I have not had issues with my headset disconnecting at all. It seems to be pretty solid in that regard. One issue I am having, however is that Voice Activation does not work through my headset. I actually have two of them:
LG HBM-730
Jabra something or rather (this one is my fiances)

I have spent allot of time today reading up on this issue online and apparently bluetooth functionality is a big issue with the Treo700. Most of the threads I have been reading address the same functionality as what I've got, working headseat, but no voice activation.

From what I have been reading it isn't a windows issue as the Treo700p has the same problem. It is actually due to a design flaw in the Treo700. This problem has threads on it dating back to 2005 that I've found so far, so I think that it is one that Palm is not likely to fix.

There are some hacks out there that boast getting the Voice activation to work through bluetooth, but at the cost of OS stability.


I am going to contact Palm tommorrow, just to make sure. I'll post what I find out. Also, if I'll try and remember to look up and link to some of the other forums I have found regarding this issue.

Is anyone out there getting voice activation through bluetooth to work with their Treo 700 without a hack? I have to say I'm pretty bumed out that this seems to be a prominent issue. I normally do more research before purchasing a product. I have always loved Palm and considered them to be a pretty solid company. This just goes to show that it pays to do detailed research on everything.

I have had operational problems as well. I own a Jabra JX10, Motorola HS700, and many others including an LG HBS-110 stereo headset. All three will pair, but I have problems with staying connected, and the other party hearing me at times. Also, I have to answer by using the phone, not the bluetooth buttons. I called Palm, and the BT manufacturers and all say it's the others problem. Has anyone else had any luck in getting a respons

Check out the post at A2DP Now Working on Sprint 700wx!!! - TreoCentral.com. I have the 700WX and it was constantly dropping the connection to my Jawbone. Since installing this hack, I have had no problems -- I am thrilled! Much thanks to Hannip for putting this together!

Hi all,

I dont know if anyone will come back and use this but I have updated all the software on my phone per verizon and mobile web regular updates. This seems to have fixed the problem. I am guessing that if you do the regular updates for the phone that it would resolve the problem!
