Phone numbers in calendar entries

I recently converted from a Treo 600 to a Treo 700w. My Treo 600 calendar entries recognized phone numbers and allowed me to dial them by touching the the touchscreen. My Treo 700w does not recognize phone numbers in calendar entries. Is there a setting that will allow this or another calendar application???

I just made the same switch & discovered the same thing. It does recognize phone numbers in other areas -- like in emails. I may be doing something wrong but I can't seem to even copy the phone number from a calendar field unless I go in to "edit" view. I also can't scroll to pick up the end of a number -- which is a big problem when dealing with conference call passcodes.

I am disappointed with the calendar app for a number of reasons & am actively looking for a replacement.

Have you guys found any solution to this? I recently moved from a BlackBerry to the Treo 700wx and find the inability to select phone numbers in the calendar exceptionally frustrating. It's particularly bad when I need to dial into a conference call. Any solutions?

I have downloaded and evaluated several calendar & PIM applications -- one that I'm evaluating right now looks very promising: Agenda One . It shows the phone numbers as hyperlinks in calendar entries -- that may be worth the $20 alone right there. It also has a very logical & configurable UI and it's very easy to create new calendar entries.

Although I still miss Palm OS (corporate email requirememts made me switch to WM5) but I'm getting used to WM5 and am really liking the 700wx

AgendaOne sounds interesting. Do you know if Windows Mobile 6 detects phone numbers better than Windows Mobile 5? I still struggle to understand why this feature is not consistently built into the Windows Mobile applciations.

I don't get it either -- but then I don't understand much of what MSFT does. I don't know anything about WM6 behavior -- I was working with a very narrow specification allowed by corporate email standards (it took a long time to get approval for a non-Blackberry device).

I am going to go ahead & license Agenda One -- it seems to behave exactly as I would expect it to.
