Angry ActiveSync Problem

I searched and could not find what I was looking for. So here is my problem. I have Treo 700w and using Activesync 4.5 via bluetooth. I was able to sync on 4.9.07 with no problems. The next day it will not sync at all.

The phone will connect to the computer via usb or bluetooth, I can explore the devise with not issues.

What is happening when it connects it says it is connecting, then connected is shown on the computer and handheld, then computer says syncing, handheld says connected. This stays like this for 5 min, then eventually the handheld will say syncing and will sit there and not doing anything.

I have deleted partnership and created a new one and re-installed activesync 4.5 and it still doen't do it. I have cleaned out the files under windows/temp. I have not done a hard reset because I figurred that would be the last option and was not looking forward to doing that.

Does anyone have any ideas.

Do you have allot of contacts and/or appointments? I only have about 500+ contacts and I sometimes see this happen whether I sync via BT or USB. I just leave it alone and it eventually completes synchronization. Sometimes it's quick, sometimes it's not.

I do not have that many contacts nor appointments. I have let it sit for over an hour and one thing I noticed is it will continue to try to sync on the computer but if you look at the devise is will look like it is syncing then just show that it is connected, and nothing happened.

Just another update. I decided to do a hard reset. It still didn't work.

Ok even more info for you. I was able to get a hold of another computer to try to sync to, to see if it will work. Sync'd in less than 30 secs with a lot of info.

Any help.

I figured it out. I have bitdefender antivirus and on 4.10 an update for it dismantles it from active sync.

Bitdefender update breaks Activesync - microsoft.public.pocketpc.activesync | Google Groups

I uninstalled bitdefender, reinstalled without updating and it is working for now.
