Call waiting - Treo Forum

Has anyone had the following problem?

When I am a call and another call beeps in. I do not answer the second call. However when I get the "missed call" beep I lose the call I am on. I have the screen disabled when I am on a call, so I am not sure what is going on.

Hi, Claw. New Treonauter here. I've had the exact same problem that you describe on my Treo 680, and, given that our Treos are using different OS's (WM vs. Palm OS), I have to suspect that it could be a provider problem? I'm with Cingular. Maybe we can figure this out!

I am with Verizon. Everytime it happens if I look at the screen it seems as if I had touched it and navigated away from the call. However the screen is set to be disabled when on a call. If I get back to the call, the clock is still running as if I am still on the call. However, I can not figure out how to get back to the person so I end up hanging up and calling them back.

My 680 also has the screen disabled during a call using Phone Technician. The problem I have is that if I'm on a call and a 2nd call comes in, call waiting will notify me (the screen comes to life), but when I ignore the 2nd call, I am disconnected EVERY TIME from my 1st call as soon as my "missed call" notification appears. CLICK! All is silent as I lose the call. I read another forum that someone had contacted Palm and that they are "aware of the problem" and are allegedly working on a fix. We shall see!
