| Regular Contributer ![]() | Voicemail alert..... I have run into a brick wall here, and if anybody can help, that would be great. If there is a thread in here or somewhere else that could help, or if I am just missing a trick. I have set my voicemail alert on the 700w, and tried it our. There is no audible alert when I have voicemail. I really need one, especially when I am away from the phone. I know it would (should) vibrate when ringer os off, but the choices in the settings indicate there should be an audible alert as well (preferablt repeating), but I cannot get it to work. Anybody? I appreciate any and all help!!!! |

![]() | I'm not sure about the audible part, probably just some tinkering with the settings should fix that, but as far as the repeat you are going to have to download another program. This, btw, is one of my biggest pissoffs with pocket pc (it is all of them, not just the Treo). They purposely greyed out the repeat button so you would need to buy a seperate program; I can't think of any other explanation. <bitch setting off> Anyway, what you are looking for is Phonealarm: pocketMax Software - phoneAlarm You can download a free 30 day trial to test it out. You can customize all of your alarms, how they are handled, etc. It also shows you a display on your Today Screen that will show you what is what (SMS, Missed call, Voice mail, etc) which can also be customized. BTW, if you find yourself sitting in the chair of a reprobate, you can delete phone alarm inside of the 30 day trial and reinstall it to keep it going for free for another 30 days. If you let it go beyond the 30 days, you have to do a hard reset to use the trial again. Chances are, you'll find this to be a hassle and will buy it anyway (I did) but if you don't mind resetting all of your customizations once a month, and you have an immoral need to cheat the system, the option is open. Also, just a thought, you might want to try doing a hard reset now (it might fix why your voicemail alarm isn't working at all) and then you can start fresh when you are rebuilding. Kimmy has a video on how to do a hard reset if you need to know how. Just make sure you have done a fresh sync on your computer so you can recover all of your info afterwards. Good luck...
