| I made my first post! ![]() | Gmail users, help I have a 700W linked to a Gmail account. It's working okay, but my sent items (sent from the web or the device) are shown in my Inbox as new mail. Is there any way to automaticaly send these items to my "Sent Items" folder ? Or atleast get them out of my inbox? |

| A Few Questions.... ![]() | Gmail Problems I have a Verizon Treo 700w running Windows Mobile 5.0. I have tried every possible scenario and setting configuration to make Gmail run smoothly and nothing works. Unfortunately every setting configuration has it's pro's and con's. The only thing that works, in my opinion, is to set up Gmail to automatically forward a copy of your emails to a different email account (work Exchange Email, or in my case my own domain that runs POP mail) that way you still receive anything that is sent to Gmail and you can even set up your "reply to:" field in your alternate POP account as your Gmail address. Seems confusing but is the only thing that has worked for me. It has worked flawlessly now for 6 months. I enjoy the ability to give anyone my Gmail address but only people I reply to get my personal domain address. That way I still can search and manage my web mail account through Gmail, and still send emails from Gmail's online app while receiving through my POP mail server which is much more reliable and doesn't have any of the endless glitches I found with Gmail. Not a perfect solution but the only one that has worked for me and I have exhaustively searched for a reliable solution. |

![]() | There really isn't a good way to do this...it has to do with the way Gmail handles mail...since all replies also go into active "conversations", it really just sends to the inbox. When I used to have a BlackBerry (don't tell anyone, just our secret...), you could set up a filter to not forward any message sent by yourself. You can try setting up a filter as well for your Palm, but it's always just been easier to manually delete messages from me. Sent messages from my Palm have always shown up in Gmail sent items though.
