| A Few Questions.... ![]() | What's up with my new 700w? I can use the Bluetooth headset just fine ... if I first go into Settings and turn on the Bluetooth functions *again*. I have to do this at least once a day. Is there some reason that the phone is turning off Bluetooth? Chapps |

![]() ![]() | Welcome Chapps, Thats an unusual problem. I've not got a 700w (yet) but I've got a couple of questions... Do you notice at all when it gets turned off? Is it consistent? Are you sure it's turning off - it maybe that the headset is getting 'unpaired' until the BT gets cycled? Any software installed that might be 'power-saving' for you? ~ Steph |

| A Few Questions.... ![]() | Hey, Steph. It's actually getting unpaired somehow, since the headset is still on, as far as I can tell (blinking blue light). Not sure how to cycle BT ... and I hate having to repair it every time I want to use the headset. Maybe this is just not a great headset -- and maybe I need to get a better quality one. I'm new to BT headsets, so I'm not really sure. Chapps |

| A Few Questions.... ![]() | Probably the Treo I have a similar problem with my bluetooth function using my car's bluetooth system. Works fine for a while then the next time I try to make a call all I her is the ever more frustating female voice saying "Phone not connected". I check the Treo and bluetooth is on and active. I shut the bluetooth on/off a few times and eventually it starts working again. I had a bluetooth cell phone before the Treo and never had any problems so I'm betting it's a Treo problm. |

![]() ![]() | Yeah sounds like unpairing is whats going on. I've never had that problem myself other than very early on when I first got the 700p and a Jabra JX10. It would unpair if I swtiched off bluetooth and then switched it back on again. To resolve it I paired it then hotsynced then did a soft reset and resynced. I'm not sure which event actually 'baked' in the pairing but since then I've not had any problems. Not sure if that will help any body. ~ Steph |

![]() | Me, too, me too! I'm having similar problems....When the headset works it's great, but the headset and phone often don't connect, even though the phone is set to Bluetooth on and the headset shows up in the bluetooth set up screen. What do you mean by "cycling" Bluetooth device? thanks |

![]() ![]() | I meant switching off Bluetooth on the Treo and or switching off the Headset.... then back on again. Sorry for any confusion. ~ Steph

| A Few Questions.... ![]() | Same exact problem I have been having. I have tried two different Treo 700w's and three different BT earsets...Palm, Motorola, and Jabra. I usually just stick to a wired earpiece cuz it is such a pain. Really sucks. I sometimes get the BT back when I turn BT off then back on. This, of course, is a stupid thing to have to do. |

| I made my first post! ![]() | I have the same problem. I'll use the BT fine, end the call, an hour later another call comes in and BT is mysteriously off. I have to answer the call, turn BT on again and hit the button on my headset. This usually switches the call back to the headset. This is extremely annoying, and did not occur with my last phone (a nokia n-gage qd), which was rock solid stable. I wish Palm would post a fix to this, as clearly I'm not alone. I tried the hotsync, soft reset, hotsync thing and it didn't help. |

| A Few Questions.... ![]() | I have the same problem in the Treo 700wx. The issue may have something to do with the powersaver feature that turns the unit off after lets say 5 min or what ever you set the time limit to. I talked to Sprint and Palm and the denied having a problem. I think what is happening is the Bluetooth process is getting suspended or hung and does not become available until a soft reset. I still trying to figure it out |
