| A Few Questions.... ![]() | Active Sync Killing Battery I am having issues with active synce killing my battery now for over 1 month. I am syncing with an Exchange Server but no matter how I set the schedule Active Sync checks for changes every minute. If I change the schedule to sync every 5 minutes it still syncs every minute, if I change it to 4 hours is still syncs every minute. Has anyone else experienced this problem? The main issue with this being my battery is being killed in 6 to 8 hours. I have a coworker who has his set up the same way as me and his battery will last 1.5 days. He has set his to sync every 5 minutes but it only syncs every 5 minutes. I have done several soft resets but no master reset. If I contact Sprint I surely know I will be wasting an hour or so of my life. |

| A Few Questions.... ![]() | So now matter how I adjust the schedule in active sync it is going to sync the folders constantly? My coworkers phone is syncing with the same server and same settings but does not have this issue. If he puts in his schedule to sync with server every five minutes you can open up active sync and watch it, it will only sync every five minutes. Mine is continous, I can never open active sync and and see more than one minute elapsed since the prevoius successful sync. If this is the case, i am curious as to why they put a schedule for syncronization in on the device? Is there some setting that could be on the server end of this that could be pushing some sort of data to my phone causing the sync. Thanks for the help. |

| A Few Questions.... ![]() | I just found this on the Microsoft website. Windows Mobile powered Pocket PC Help & How Tos (Microsoft Windows Mobile, Windows CE, Mobile Computing, Mobile device) You can schedule automatic synchronization between your phone and Exchange Server every time an item arrives or is changed in Exchange Server if your company is running Exchange Server with Exchange ActiveSync, and after your first full synchronization with Exchange Server. Maybe we are not running Exchage Server ActiveSync I will try to find out tomorrow. |

![]() ![]() | Let us know how you get on. Sounds like you have a policy set on your exchange account for it to push updates and syncs every minute whereas your colleage has a different policy, either unspecified or no push. ~ Steph
