Anyone Use Picture Speed Dial? - Treo Forum

I don't. Not 'cause I wouldn't want to--but they take up so much space on my Today screen I can't see appointments for the day. I rarely will push their icon on the screen, though, as I use the keyboard for speed dial anyway. I am just curious if anyone swears by them; as I know it's a unique feature over the 700p.

I believe some things are created just for the manufacturer to say they have something "unique". Inexperienced users make purchases by comparing features so if I can show you 10 and the competition only has 8...I win.

Some, like this one in my humble opinion, are useless additions.

I use them, but only for novelty sake...which is pretty much the entire reason I own the 700w. I dont have a legitamite work need for it, nor do I subscribe to the internet through Verizon's data plan, but nontheless it's kind of cool and takes up some of the dead-space I have on the today screen. My .02 on it.

I use them every day.... I have the five most frequently called numbers on it and love being able to just hit it and be done. Sometimes in the car, even typing h-o- to get home is distracting. Or with some people, I have multiple numbers listed (home, work, cell, pager), so it's easier to identify the number I want (sister's cell) with a photo and hence one-touch dialing.
