Hello,

Just got my first treo, the 700w from Verizon. I'm loving the phone, its a totally different type of technology compared to "regular" phones...anyways, on to the question:

Is there a way to have the keyguard ON and have the phone still ring when a call comes in? Everytime I set the keyguard it stays on for 2-3 seconds and then blacks out to the powered down screen. When I call my phone to see if the treo will ring, nothing happens unless I power it back up and then it will ring...weird eh?

I know there's gotta be a way to have the keyguard on so you can throw it in your pocket and not have to worry about hitting a million keys by mistake, and still have a call come through. Thanks in advance for your help!!!

You might want to try a Soft reset, possibly a hard reset, as that shouldn't happen. I have the keyguard on mine and it is basically disabled when a call comes in (you don't have to hit the centre key to answer the phone). A soft reset won't remove any of your data (it's just a matter of opening the battery cover and pushing your stylus into the little hole left of your battery) but a hard reset will. Try that first and if it doesn't fix the problem you can go from there.

Strangely enough....it worked! Any reason why this would have gotten screwed up? I'm happy my phones fixed but the engineer inside me wants to know why this happened?
