Problem with new 700w

I'm having a bit of a problem with my 700w, and with some help from a palm agent, i have figured out that i have a faulty ringer switch at the top. I'm "failry" proficient with electronics, so I openeded up the handset to take a look. The little metal box that is the actual switch keeps slipping off it's stand, causing it to stay in one spot and never get switched. Can I just put a small bead of solder on there to keep it in place? If ANYONE at all has any info, please share. I've been on mytreo.net all night and can't find a thread/nobody will respond to the two that I've made. Please help!

Not a particularly helpful or witty reply
