700wx & Bluetooth? What's the deal? - Treo Forum

I've been reading alot of the posts reguarding the issues with this handset and bluetooth headsets and car kits. I was just curious, has there been anybody that has had a favorable experience with bluetooth on their wx? I am ready to strap an M80 to my Moto HS350, but before I do, please let me know some of your experiences

There are Bluetooth headsets and car kits that work fine with Treo's but it's not all and not always. Andrew has reviewed quite a lot of different ones so check out his reviews for ones that work well

This is my first post and I have a issue with my Treo 700wx. Whenever my unit is left alone for some time the bluetooth option becomes unavailable. I have to do a soft reset to get it back. I happens all the time and Sprint and Plam says they don't know of any issues. Thats a load of crap. I have seen lots of threads on the issue and no solution. I once heard of a patch but have seen any. Does anyone have any thoughts on the issue?

There is an update for the 700P expected soon, one of the issues Palm have said it rectifies is problems with Bluetooth. No date has been given for it's release, basically Palm have said it will be out once it's passed both their internal testing and those of the carriers.

I finally found a bluetooth headset that actually works with my phone. Flawless connection between units. Clear conversations, overall outstanding. Try this headset!

For the last two posts...can either of you make the bluetooth connection in order to make a voice dialled call. eg. click the button on the BT headset and say "call 555-0666"?

My headset works well to receive calls but both Palm and Microsoft seem to believe we never make calls.

Apparently Palm has now come out with a wireless headset for the 700W. I hope this link works. I haven't tried it yet so I can't be sure how good it is. If some else has please let the group know.

I think Rich is referring to the Samsung WEP 200 as that is the subject of his post.
