Grrrrrr! Ringtones! - Treo Forum

Why is it that you have to sign up to download ringtones on Verizon when you're already a customer with an account?! Why is it that my phone is not even in the dropdown list of phones when I try to sign up for a ringtone account?! ...and why is it that it's easier to get ringtones for a free phone than a "smart" phone?! I asked Sprint this question a long time ago and they told me that people who buy PDA phones don't want that feature. WTF? Does anybody know of a good place to get ringtones?

Try MiniTones , it will allow you to use any mp3 as a ring tone and it's free.

If you find any sounds or tones you like, turn them to mp3's add them to your Treo and then use minitones to covert to a tone.

I might be wrong here (I guess it's my Czechoslovakian isn't what it used to be) but MiniTones seems to be fr the Palm OS. Is there something for Windows Mobile 5.0?

For Windows Mobile Treo's just convert the file to a WMA and select that in the normal way

Hi

My input is use Ringo on ur treo and download cooledit on your pc. You can make your own ringtones from there. I mean with cool edit you can cut parts of songs and you can apply special effects to that and copy them to your treo/sd card and use them as ringtone. Thats what I am doing atleast.
