Treo 700w vs 700wx differences?

Ok, for the past 2 weeks I have had my Treo 700w and I like it so far EXCEPT the issue with its low Program Memory allocations of 25mb.

After snooping around I found out that the Treo 700wx has more available program RAM of about 57mb!!!
Thats double the RAM and I bet that is helpful considering my 700w would slow down when I start actually using it.

So I contacted Palm and Verizon.
They BOTH told me that the Treo 700w and 700wx are EXACTLY the same thing just that the 700w is for Verizon and the 700wx is for Sprint!

Then I started seeing rumored posts that the 700wx "may" be released to Verizon as soon as end of January 2007.

So can someone here please tell me what are the exact differences between the 700w vs 700wx with proof and stuff.
I am going crazy here from people telling me this and that.
ahhhhh!

well, go here and you'll see the only difference is memory total, memory available to user and dun is standard on the wx but you need a third party app on the w. oh yeah, the money and network thing, too.

Ya I checked that already.

Gets me kinda irky that after I talk to Verizon, Sprint and Palm that they deny this difference in RAM.
They keep telling me that the its the same thing just that w is for Sprint and wx is for Verizon.
Grrrr.....

Gonna go check out Sprint and see if I should switch over or not to get the 700wx.

now, for the time being, sprint may only carry the w and verizon the wx, but the differences are right there in plain sight.

Liek I said before.

Yep... We've updated the table and i now has it's own address:

http://www.treonauts.com/treo-680-750-comparison.php

Doesn't help you I know kilim but I can ask why you're surprised that they wouldn't know the differences. There got a boat load of different phones to sell, each one with differences, they get a sales sheet and a talking to before lauch and thats it.

It would be like walking into Best Buy and asking the rep to explain the diffrences between the Panasonic KXT5416SX cordless phone and Panasonic KMTA-517XT cordless phone.

No, you would never do that - unless it's to watch the poor rep nervously try to read the writing on the boxes from the corner of their eye - you're a savy customer, you've already done your research and found out the truth from us... your handy dandy Treo site. sadly we get it wrong too sometimes.
