Must have get started software for Verizon 700w

Hello fellow treo users. I am new here and just picked up a second hand treo 700w from a local friend and am excited to start learning all about it and using it. The one I picked up is in great shape.

It came with everything except the CD and manual. I am going to hunt down a PDF somewhere online, maybe the verizon or palm website but I was also looking for software that must be used when you first get the phone.

Can someone share with me what I need to look for? Anything specific? I know I need ActiveSync from Microsoft and Sprite Backup from my brief readings but dont want to miss anything important.

Thanks for your help!

What you should have largely depends on what you use your 700W for Have a look through the software section of this forum for some things to try

Well Im a realtor that is on the road and away from my laptop enough to want to be connected while out and about. I'm also looking into the add on GPS by tomtom. Calls, appointments, email, web browsing, syncing up with my laptops outlook, that sort of thing.

I was looking for a list of programs that come with the get started CD.

So far I have activesync to get my outlook contacts, calendar, notes, and tasks up to date and wirelesssyn for email only. I use wireless sync because the email client that came with the treo doesnt have the option to leave a copy of the email on my POP servers.

I don't think, honestly, that there's any "must have" software right when you get your 700w/700wx. It pretty much functions very well right out of the box. You might need to customize or add software as you go, depending on your needs. If you use Outlook at home or work, then it's a snap to set up.
