a few questions.. - Treo Forum

ok first one.. you know how when you set a reminder, it is supposed to talk and say for example.. school in 15 minutes.. mine does it randomly.. it dosn't talk all the time.. how come??

and the second is..
does anyone know any good apps? i tried to d/l the guitar hero one from the sprint website, but it wouldn't work

What kind of apps are you looking for? I can't see the Guitar Hero app being any fun.

As far as your issue.... I would disable the 'Announce Calendar Reminders' and then re-enable it under Voice Commands >> Calendar >> Options.

If that still doesn't work... I would back it up... if you have Sprite backup use that... then hard reset your phone, then restore from backup.

I had to do this with WM5 a couple of times to get various things working again after they stopped working.

It's not a separate 'app' but a built in function....

Start >> Settings >> Personal >> Voice Command >>

Enable

Calendar >> Options >> 'Announce Calendar Reminders

voice command in your settings.personal.voice command in the treo pro should be similar with your 800w I would think.

I don't know how much of a musician you are, or your aspirations, but here are some suggestions for music apps:

1. MeTeoR, Micro-DAW for Windows Mobile

2.Bhajis Loops (free trial) you can play accmts, has sample editor, virtual instruments with wavetable synthesis, a pattern editor and sequencer, etc. you can store wav files on your SD card. You're going to need a Palm OS emulator like StyleTap for this one, as it's for Palm Os not Windows Mobile.

3. You've gotta check out Syntrax!!! it's free to boot.

4. The pocket Theremin, is a hoot and a half! You control the sound with the stylus. Way fun, and a great time waster.

These require a bit of creativity, I hope you check some of them.
