Not able to use wireless sync after computer upgrade - Treo Forum

I recently had to move from my old computer, which had problems with leaking capacitors on the mobo. My new computer is a Dell running Vista. When I tried to install wireless sync from Verizon on the computer it would not install correctly. I spent quite a bit of time on the phone with Verizon tech support but they couldn't find the problem. I have uninstalled all the previous settings from the Verizon wireless sync site and I've done a hard re-set of the Treo. None of which solved the problem.

I'm wondering if there is some issue with Vista? Would upgrading to Windows Mobile 6 make any difference?

I am syncing from Lotus Notes. It all worked very well for nearly two years on my old computer.

Is your lotus notes version compatible with vista. Check and see if your firewall is set to allow WMDC pass through. Just a thought!

If you have Vista 64 bit that would make it more difficult as well. Look in the forum here for another thread about 64 bit for some options.
