How do I stop the backlight switching of when the battery is low?

The first night that I had my Treo 700w I hit a problem (well problemS, actually).

When the battery power leve gets below 30% the backlight will not come on. This was a problem when I was standing in a dark parking lot trying to call friends but could not see a dman thing on the screen.

Is the a registry setting, or something, that tells the Treo 700w 'no matter what the battery level is show the backlight'?

There should be a check box for backlight settings in relation to your battery under Settings>System>Power>Battery>Advanced. You may have already checked this, but if you haven't take a look. Hope this helps!

Sadly I don't think I can

I've had a look through the settings and can't see anything relating to the backlight when the battery is low I can't say my 750v has done that when the battery level is below 30%.
