Email icon missing in Phone app for VZW Treo 700p - Treo Forum

Hello,

I recently installed Verizon's 1.10 software upgrade on my Treo 700p smartphone, and now I do not see the new email icon on my Phone application, telling me how many new e-mail messages I have in my Chatteremail inbox.

I have tried reinstalling Chatteremail (upgrading to the latest version, 3.0.18, in the process), but that did not fix the problem.

I am using Chatteremail to connect to my FastMail.fm account; I have only one mailbox set up.

I'm not sure if this is a Chatteremail problem, or a Palm OS problem; does anyone have any idea how to resolve this issue?

have you tried a reset?

Yes, I have reset the smartphone at least twice -- once after the Palm OS upgrade and once after upgrading Chatteremail.

I spoke to Palm Support and they said that sometimes you need to reinstall Versamail to get the email icon back. I tried that, and reset again, and still no email icon.

Any other suggestions, anyone?
