Are there any alternative "browsers" better than the Blazer? - Treo Forum

If so, any suggestions. If not, are there any tweaks or
add ons to make the Blazer a little better?? Or am I asking for trouble?

There are other browsers you can try, whether they are better than Blazer depends on who you ask. There's a list of available ones here

I'd only heard of about three or four of those Taz. Good to know info. I may have to try a couple of them out.

Ok, judging from that list of "pros and con's", I think that I should just settle with the Blazer"....lol

I've tried Opera and a beta of another browser app (I'm not allowed to say which one). So far, I reached the same conclusion you did. While there may be some tweaks that are a little better on other browsers, generally blazer is about as good as the competition.

The Picsel browser is very good but unfortunately it was never released as a seperate product and is only in Japanese

I think Universe shows a lot of promise, but Dkirker has kind of taken a sabbatical from developing it further.

For what it's worth, I've looked, tried Opera Mini (I thought the Java set-up was a PIA, although successful, and I subsequently deleted it), and all-in-all, haven't found anything I thought was better than Blazer

Have used opera mini and blazer. opera mini had all kinds of java problems for me. i use blazer and just try to remember that i'm on a little phone sitting in the middle of a coffee shop and should consider myself darned lucky that I live in a society that has the technology to allow me to drink a venti cap while updating my Katie Couric fansite.
