new 700p from e-bay. Should I update - Treo Forum

Hello everone.
I'm a newbie here and also a newbie to smart phones. I just got a new Treo 700p from ebay and it has version 1.08 with a PRL of 20226 on it. I wanted to know if it is a good idea to update to 1.10 with Sprint. I have read some bad things happening to the phone after an update. I also plan to get an 8 GB card for my phone. Will it work with version 1.08? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance for any responses!

welcome pfloyd1 to treonauts. Glad you are here. I would suggest that you search the 700P forum for information about the update you might install. Send a PM to people who have posted on those threads and get more information from them. Others including myself will also try to find out the answers for you but you can help yourself. I'll try to get back with you with info later
