![]() | Ok so I bought the torx driver and undid the phone and cleaned the buttons and they still dont work. So it seems apparent that the buttons are just broken. does anyone know how I would go about getting it fixed? cause its pretty annoying having to type every o i k and m on the touchscreen. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | It'll require a replacement of the keyboard PCB (the Printed Circuit Board that contains the buttons that are pressed by the plastic keyboard) On the 650 it was a fairly simple procedure, and it appears to be the same on the 700p. A replacement can be found here. I've done business with this company (bought my 650 keyboard PCB from them) and can say from experience they're good. |

![]() ![]() | The 700p has been around for awhile, so I'm guessing the device isn't under warranty or there is no insurance/warranty from Verizon. If there is, then make it look pristine and take it into Verizon and tell them the keys are dead, get a replacement. Don't tell them you opened the case. Otherwise it sounds like a circuitry issue on the mother board, since the same keys are dead with either keypad board.

![]() | Well I talked to palm and they did say it is out of warranty and it would cost $199 to get it fixed and that is not worth it to me. I am too assume that this problem cannot be fixed by me? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Or deal with Verizon and not palm. The answer that palm gave you is there standard answer for out of warranty issues. Try VZN and wheedle a replacement phone from them. Maybe you'll even end up with a 755 ! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | A good idea. Verizon has been pretty good with my dad, who has been a customer with them for probably 8 years now. Of course I can't say for certain they'd be of any help. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | You'd have to open it and unhook the keyboard and reattach it. It's a matter of getting it set exactly. Verizon may be willing to help particularly if you're willing to sign another contract. Ask them if they have a service location in your area that you could take it to. |
