undeleting deleted contacts? - Treo Forum

Hey all,

I figured I would only be helping my wife by syncing her Treo to her Mac for the first time in years. She had scads of contacts and appointments in there. I set up the initial sync via Bluetooth, including a Backup and an iSync. The sync proceeded to fail due to sudden disconnections between the Treo and the machine.

I found the sync cable and ran a sync that way. Everything synced fine. However, I hadn't realized that due to the bluetooth disconnects, the backup hadn't run, and for some reason iSync replaced all the device data with the little that was on the computer. There's no backup.

Is there any way to scour the Treo's memory for the deleted contacts? My marriage hangs in the balance...

welcome to treonauts noamb We are glad you are here. It may be possible that the data from the treo is in a backup folder opn the mac but as far as backup on the treo you would have to look in the data files. I assume that since you posted in the 700P forum that's what she has. I am not familar with palm os that much anymore and I have always had a gsm treo so I am not familar with cdma stuff. Did she have some sort of backup program that would have left a copy on her expansion card? I hope so.

First and foremost ,Welcome !

What kind of treo is it ?

If it's GSM based "at&t,tmobile,unlocked"/ You might get lucky and pull the contacts off your sim card . If it's CDMA based "Sprint/Verizon" You might be screwed , unless I am wrong . With out backup apps there is no way to recover your contacts on cdma based treo. I found that the hard way .
